Keep incision areas clean and dry as instructed. Apply prescribed antibiotic ointment gently – no scrubbing or rubbing the eyelid.
Swelling and bruising peak within the first 48–72 hours. Use cold compresses for the first 48 hours, then switch to gentle warm compresses if advised. Sleep with your head elevated on two pillows for the first week; most visible bruising fades within two to three weeks.
